Really. Honestly. I just couldn't help myself. There is nothing left to do now but declare
the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains my "summer crush" lip product of the season! Between sales at CVS (and then just breaking down & purchasing the hard to find ones at Target), I have added 5 more to my Kissable collection which brings my total to 6 (which is half of the full collection).
If you saw my initial review of the shade Charm from this line, you would know that I am in love with Charm's color, the texture & the stain on my lips, and so I found I just could not help but get more! Here are more photos & lip swatches of the rest of my new collection, including my original photos of Charm in the mix as well!

Honey was actually more mauve-y pink than I expected it to be (on my lips anyway.) Nonetheless, it is a nice every day neutral pink tone for me.

I knew I had to have Rendezvous when I first laid eyes on it! It is a very vibrant orange-red shade that I think is perfect for summer! I really like the finish on this one. I know they all have a bit of sheen, but with Rendezvous it just seems to be perfection!

As you can see, Precious doesn't swatch on my hand with much color, so the color of your lips will most likely show through a little, as it does with mine above. There are tiny shimmers in this, so your lips look a little extra shiny in the sunlight. I think a nude balm stain is a brilliant idea because it lasts longer than a typical sheer shimmery nude lipstick, but is not as thick as a concealer-like nude lipstick. This nude could initially be compared to Revlon's Lip Butter in Creme Brulee, however Precious has a more of a pink tone to it, rather than the peach tone. I do want to note that the "stain" that is left from this product is a slightly pinky tone that nearly matches my lips, so the stain is barely noticeable, but I do however enjoy the balm color of this one!

While I would say I have the hardest time finding the perfect red, and I typically opt for a bold orange lip instead, I decided to take a leap and try out Romantic. As you can see it is a brighter shade than could be expected from the product itself, and goes on a rather cherry red, rather than a deep wine red as I was imagining. I really like this though because I have tried regular red tinted lip balms in the past and they really have not done much for me. With Romantic I get a balm look with more staying power than a typical tinted balm which vanishes more quickly.
Closing Thoughts. Overall these are very handy products for summer, especially if you like the stain that is left at the end, but doesn't dry your lips out. The darker and brighter shades definitely have a stain left over that will stick around for many hours after the shiny balm wears off (mine stuck through eating & drinking and beyond!) So I suppose this could be a downfall if you are one who likes to change up your lips from day to night, (i.e., if you have worn a bright shade in this product during the day and want to wear a nude lip for evening). I love that the product twists up for more product, by twisting the silver end. The balm stain in itself is quite a firm product in that it isn't too soft so you shouldn't have to worry about it melting in your purse (I have not tried leaving it in the car, however. That could be a whole different story!) As I mentioned in my initial review, I do have to be sure my lips are exfoliated and hydrated before wearing this product. If not, the product will accentuate any dry patches or flakiness. Although it offers some "balm-like" effect on my lips they do not feel as hydrated as a typical balm would. On the other hand my lips do not feel as dried out as if I just used a stain. So all in all, I think this is a great in-between product that melds the two together perfectly!
Which of the Kissable Balm Stains have you tried out? Which ones do you recommend? I would love to hear what you think!
The Revlon Kissable Balm Stains can be purchased at many drugstores like CVS, Walgreens and also Target, Ulta and other online retailers for approximately $7.50 - $9.00 each.
